Karwan Karim was born in 1989 in Ranya, Iraqi Kurdistan. After graduating from high school, Karwan began working in the fields of visual media and journalism. He was a designer for Zhulen magazine, then became the director of Karama Group (short film production). He is a volunteer member of the Kurdistan Office Autism Group in Sulaimani – Ranya Branch, and a member of the Federal Association of German Journalist Photographers (BDP). He also works with the International Middle East Image Agency
